My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I can’t believe it has taken me this long to read ‘This much is True. For some reason it has been sitting on my Goodreads ‘to read’ shelf since September 2013. I haven’t had a book that has gripped me since Kim Holden’s Bright Side, and i was starting to get a little disappointed in my lack of review stars. Some have reached a 4 but i have been since very critical to give anything 5 stars.
The first thing i loved straight away was when I noticed that it was long, longer that the recent books i’ve endured. Seeing it there in my kindle library with all the dots representing length, I had a good feeling straight away.
When i started reading the first chapter, I had a sense of familiarity. had i read it before without realising? It started as a typical boy meets girl, girl has issues, boy is stupid and breaks up with her and breaks her heart. Then i thought it would be boy wins her back then happily ever after. Damn, was I wrong or was I so very wrong? Yes boy is stupid but boy doesn’t win her back-Not straight away anyway! Both boy and girl go through sooooo much, so much that i don’t even see coming! There are so many twists and turns on the emotional roller-coaster that made me feel travel sick!
I am so glad i came across this gem. Thank you Katherine Owen 🙂 Loved it. x
