Kim Holden is one of my favourite authors. I have re read Bright Side more times than I can count. And Gus was the best sequel I have ever read, and truly does Bright Side justice.
What I liked about So much more was the trio of POV’s rather than the standard two, and also that one of the POV’s was a complete and utter bitch! No other way to describe her really. If Holden’s intent by the end was for me to feel sorry for Miranda then it didn’t work. I’m hoping that her ‘redemption’ was to entail future happiness for Seamus.
I mainly felt anger throughout, which made me go to the shop next door to buy a bottle of red wine to calm me down. I think this anger overshadowed any other emotions for the other characters unfortunately, but did want to fictionally high five the good guys and bitch slap Miranda.
I felt really sorry for Seamus. At times I thought he was naive and week, especially when we flashback to the past. But he really didn’t have a fair fight with a vindictive wife/ex wife and a disease did he?
I’m a sucker for a happy ending and wasn’t as funny as the other Holden books. But still had the distinctive traits that I love!
